Debutante Ball
May 29, 1984
Dear Richard,
I just want to thank you personally for the beautiful stage and decorations for the Debutante Ball. It has been mentioned to me in every note and phone call. I can honestly agree with the Press that this Ball was the prettiest ever.
Fondly,Dottie Wilson, Chairman
Dear Richard,
I just wanted to tell you again how beautiful your flowers were at the Debutante Ball. The lush Victorian garden effect was everything you had promised and more. We were so pleased, and I heard nothing but glowing praise from the parents and guests. You are truly an artist, and we were so fortunate to have you this year. I brought home my arm bouquet, a centerpiece, and some of the roses from the stage, and have enjoyed them for the whole week.
Thank You,Jean Lowrey
Dear Richard Widney,
What beautiful, imaginative tasteful, “alive” decorations at last weeks Debutante Ball!! Thank you so much for allowing your artistic ability lend so much to the evening. I look forward to meeting you.
Donald A. BenjaminDear Richard,
I want to thank you for your generous contribution for the 25th Anniversary Celebration. Everyone has raved about the decorations-they took precedence over everything else that evening. What a glorious site! I can still see those beautiful roses.
Thank you again Richard-You are a true artist.
Dear Richard,
The women of St. Peter’s thoroughly enjoyed your floral workshop this past Wednesday!! We never expected such abundant, beautiful flowers!! Your instructional encouragement really was all most women needed to create their own “masterpieces”. We had a lot of fun watching you create and listening for a few “tricks of the trade” (i.e., Clorox).
Thank you for your time, your experience, your enthusiasm, and your patience.
Dear Richard,
Thank you so very, very much for the incredibly beautiful flowers. I believe this is an understatement! Vice President Duffy Leone saw the flowers and immediately ordered some for his interior designer girl friend. I can’t tell you how many people came by.

Dear Richard,
What a glorious job you did for the Historical Society last Friday-the flowers looked fabulous on Saturday and Sunday, as well!!
We all appreciate so very much your gift of time and talent to us-the tables in the tent were a picture, and the house was certainly warmed up with roses and sunflowers in every room-would that it could be like that every weekend!! You have shown us a wonderful example.
For all the years you have supported us, Richard, thank you!!

Well, what can we say more than “WOW!” Thank you for your incredible artistry and for the talent you exuded through our gorgeous wedding florals. Thank you! We have never seen such magnificent work before and were honored and impressed. Thank you for creating our special day into a floral masterpiece!
Sincerely,Tami and Craig
Dear Richard,
I have to say thanks for the wonderful job you did with the wedding flowers. I loved my arrangement from the church to the reception. I even cried when I saw my bouquet! They were everything I imagined. Thanks for all your time working with me to get “the look”. The day truly was a fairy tale. Thanks Richard!

Dear Richard,
Please accept my personal gratitude for the beautiful decorations for Saturday evening. Your talent and generosity enabled the University to realize a substantial endowment in the nursing school. The entire hotel will long be remembered for its beauty and grace during opening week.
